STOP!

Back up slowly.....Back AWAY from the Ranch! Peighton's one true love in life is Ranch dressing. She will actually *gag* eat it *gag* with a spoon *gag* when it's meant for *gag* dipping *gag*. She found this new bottle and tried to make a run for it! She was really mad at me! She kept saying 'NO mama, doot (don't) take it!'

Bringing down the house....

Well, maybe not the house, but the closet at least! Carson was traumatized yesterday; he was playing hide and seek with Brandt, and was attempting to hide in our closet. I think he must have been tugging on some of the clothes that were hanging without meaning to...either that or him trying to scootch under them was enough pressure, but anyway, the whole wrack fell down on him. I heard a huge wracket and him screaming, and thankfully I was already downstairs - I couldn't run fast enough to see what had happened! He was fine THANKFULLY in the corner, but he was certainly scared out of his mind. And I was too! Now I don't know what to do with the whole thing? It obviously isn't as sturdy as I thought it was....it ripped most of the anchors right out of the wall! I wonder if my handy hubby could build me something sturdier? (hint hint...!)

Anyway, here is his rendering of what happened. He is learning to sound spell, so if you can't read what he wrote, it translates into: This fell on me. I was sad. Mom was ??? (Chadd and I can't figure that one out....maybe scared?) And yes, those are rapid fire tears :( Poor guy! I like how I'm screaming :O while doing the splits! No wonder! LOL!

Ugh, my neatly organized closet is such a disaster now :( (but don't get me wrong, I'm just thankful he's ok!)

The Fan {Part one}

Ok, so if you know Chadd at all, you know that he is a Piston's fan. As such, he tries to display his loyalty as often as he can (see halloween pumpkins below ;) He started this project last Christmas and gave up after it didn't quite work as he had planned, but some help from a good friend/neighbor who knows a thing or two about how to oddly string Christmas lights renewed his spirits this year! So here it is, the Pistons Christmas Sign, part one...

Peighton helping with the lights :)

Ok, I had to take this opportunity to display my WONDERFUL shelves that my WONDERFUL husband built for me! They were SO worth waiting 6 years for! :D (I love you honey!) And yes, I have heard that we are the new spokesperson for Rubbermaid storage containers. Another neighbor clued us in ;) And in case you are wondering, yes, there are a lot, and yes, I have even more in my basement that I was hoping to put out there! Oh well...we'll just have to get a bigger garage!

Diligently working....

no, he didn't draw the logo, I did :D That was my small contribution to the project!

Part two to come soon. To be continued!!...........................

My sugar 'P'

So I'm on the phone, and I notice Peighton is unusually quiet (as she usually tends to be when I'm on the phone!). It's normally some sort of creation with Addison's left out lipgloss, or my stolen mascara - wall paitings, pillow decorations, etc with the art medium of choice, but today was different - she's gone 3 dimensional! Here is her masterpiece with cinnamon sugar (I didn't realize she knew how to unscrew the top to the container!) Our budding artist....

She has no shame!

Family...

Our family! It's been since the year before Peighton that we took a family picture - this is lloonnnggg overdue! (especially since I'm a photographer! I guess we're always last, huh?!)

Crazy hair at Awana!

The older two kids go to Awana on Wednesday nights, and they often have themes; the theme a few weeks ago was crazy hair night! The boys had so much fun with it that they decided to sport their mohawks again the next morning for school! (this is Carson's best bud Brandt - we're neighbors. You'll probably see them is most of our posts LOL!)

Addi's hair was wild the night before this morning for Awana too, but for school the next morning it looked so pretty! (thank you Sarah!!!)
and I just had to add our jungle cat, Jack Pepper (Carson named him LOL)

Hair Washing 101

It only makes sense that you would wash your hair with hand sanitizer to make it *really* clean.

And what did she have to say for herself? "Peighton wash-e hair!" In case you are wondering, no, it didn't work well, and after numerous baths with normal shampoo it still looks greasy!

Halloween

Happy {belated} Halloween! We had such a busy day on Halloween, school party after school party, our own fun at home, and then of course the big event! Peighton was a little trooper and outlasted her big sibs if you can believe it! It's all about the candy! Addi and Carson started out strong, but I think after all the anticipation and parties from earlier in the day, they were just too pooped to party any more!

This was our pumpkin carving night. It was Wednesday night, one of Chadd's two nights off in the work week. I skipped bible study this night and the kids skipped Awana so that we could spend it together! Yes, I still feel guilty. I'm hoping lightning doesn't strike us down - but we had tons of fun together!

Dad with gross tricks!

Addi holding up some gross stuff...

Peighton saying 'groosss!' to the stuff Addi was holding...

Carson was staying far from the goo....it was making him gag!

Pumpkin excitement!

An ice cream treat after pumpkin carving (with Halloween sprinkles!)

Our entire clan: Jayda left in stroller, Addi (big leopard), Peighton (little leopard), Carson (tiger), Brandt (Wolverine), Zander (Batman), and last, but certainly not least, Colin the purple dragon!

Our wild bunch!

One for the records! What Halloween in Michigan ever looks/feels like this?!

Our littlest trick or treaters all treated out...

Dad with his own masked treat...

Carson pooping out on us twards the end in the wagon!

And of course, Chadd's never-ending devotion to the Piston's...

Our new (again!) blog!

Hey! I tried this once before, but couldn't keep up with it....but I'm determined to try again! So much has been going on lately, as it always seems to, but it's all great! We had another busy day again today, but with a fun ending; Chadd had sneek preview passes to see the new Bolt movie, so we headed out with Addi and Carson tonight to catch it. It was great, although Addi was BAWLING for the last quarter of the movie! She says it was really sad, but I promise it has a happy ending! (although really, what Disney movie doesn't?!)
